BUILD TIME: 1.5 hours

This was the most enjoyable part of the build to date. My daughter Sydney cleaned all the threaded rods and Levi, my 6 year old boy, put bolts and nuts together to assemble the acrylic. Syndey and Levi mounted the bearings and nuts on the threaded rod while I bummed some Loctite off my neighbor to finish off the rods. Everything went smoothly, and the top belt is now ready to rock. The 4 rods are what will raise and lower the Z stage.

One tip here. To help with the belt alignment, I grabbed a small square part labeled “rc” and marked the bottom of the drive pulley. The pictures show how helpful it was to then set the height of the other drive pulleys.
