Return Policy and Warranty Information

Customers return policy: Printrbot, Inc will accept returns of any item ordered directly from Printrbot (accessory, kit or assembled Printrbot) within 30 days of the date of delivery.  You may return your item(s) for any reason within these 30 days.  After this 30 day period, your purchase is final and no returns will be accepted.  Printrbot charges a restocking fee of 20% of the purchase price (price of the product, excluding tax and shipping), and in addition the buyer must pay all shipping charges (shipping charges on the initial purchase is not refundable).  Once a kit has left our shop there is no way for us to know how it was handled. The 20% restocking fee goes to the cost of us disassembling and re-testing components. Many times we are not able to recycle the wood or other materials for a new kit, as they generally have signs of usage.

Printrbot does not accept returns for orders that were not placed directly with Printrbot.  If an order was placed with a reseller/distributor, please see the reseller’s return policy and process the return with the reseller.

If you intend to return your kit or assembled Printrbot, please open a support ticket first as we would like to try to assist you with anything you need before you return your item(s).

When you return your item(s), you must include your order # in the box.

Printrbot Kit Warranty - Printrbot guarantees all mechanical and electrical components supplied with kits for 30 days after delivery.  If you have received a kit with faulty/defective/missing parts, please contact us by submitting a Broken/Missing ticket inside of this 30 day window.  The component must be deemed defective by Printrbot.  Printrbot is not responsible for replacing parts broken during assembly.

Printrbot does not guarantee the technical proficiency of it’s customers.  Printrbot does not guarantee a minimum quality of prints produced by kits assembled by the customer.

Simply stated; If you order a Printrbot kit, we cannot guarantee that you have the technical ability to assemble and calibrate the Printrbot.  Your results may vary from others.


Printrbot Assembled Warranty Terms: Printrbot guarantees all mechanical and electrical components on assembled units for 90 days after delivery.  If you have received a Printrbot with faulty/defective/missing parts, please contact us by submitting a Broken/Missing ticket inside of this 90 day window.  The component must be deemed defective by Printrbot.  If a component is found to be defective, Printrbot will provide a replacement part (or acceptable substitute), but not provide installation service for defective parts.

Printrbot does not guarantee compatibility with any third party software or operating system (Repetier, Pronterface, Windows, Mac, Linux, etc).  This applies to kits and assembled units.

There are countless combinations of computers/operating systems/3D printing software/etc.  Printrbot guarantees the mechanical and electronic functionality of the unit, not ease of use, or compatibility with other hardware/software.
